Personality;

Mamoru's personality, if described by his few friends, would be contributed to a few words, depending on whom you talk to. To some, he's a cocky, brash individual who seems to only care about himself. He's the strong, silent, unshakeable type. To his girlfriend, Usagi, his best friend, Motoki, and the others he is around, he's the epitome of a gentleman: Smart, sexy, protective, manly, romantic and supportive. Due to a car accident when he was young, Mamoru has no memory about his family, and so he's very protective about those he cares about. He is also somewhat of an introvert, and he keeps things to himself often. He often comes across as aloof and stoic because he is afraid to show his emotions.



Strengths/Abilities;

In civilian form, Mamoru demonstrates several psychic abilities. He uses psychometry, to read past, present, and future events through touch. He has been able to see and read dreams. He also uses psychokinesis to heal others' wounds. He has used this ability to link himself to his future daughter, Chibiusa, when her pureheart was stolen to keep her alive. He is also spiritually connected with his girlfriend, Usagi, and can detect when she transforms into the pretty sailor suited soldier, Sailormoon. It acts almost like a danger sense. He also has a spiritual connection to the earth, being the earth's soldier and prince. By touching the earth, he can know its condition and where anything is upon it.

As Tuxedo Kamen, he is an apt swordsman, using his cane as a weapon. It can extend its length to either attack or rescue people. His iconic weapon is the rose. He throws them like darts to injure or distract the enemy. He can also twirl them or throw a wide array to block attacks, or he can throw many at a time to pin an enemy down. Tuxedo Kamen seems to have an unlimited supply of these roses, which are preternaturally strong and can embed themselves into most any material, including concrete. He does have one magical attack, though. By shouting "Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber!", a blast of energy comes forth from his hand.

Mamoru's abilities as Tuxedo Kamen also leak through into his civilian form. He can pull roses and use his swordsman abilities.

Weaknesses;

Despite wanting to become a doctor in his future, Mamoru is afraid of needles. He is very secretive, and while he doesn't want to admit it, during his run as Tuxedo Kamen, he has been manipulated and possessed easily by the bad guys. Usagi, his girlfriend, is also one of his weaknesses.



Background;

Mamoru was the prince of earth, Prince Endymion, in his past life. He fell in love with the princess of the moon, Princess Serenity. An earth woman named Queen Beryl was jealous of their love, and awakened Metalia in order to have power to destroy the Moon Kingdom and separate Endymion and Serenity. Princess Serenity's mother used her last bit of strength to send them and the senshi to Earth to be reincarnated into a new life.

On Earth, Mamoru was orphaned as a child. He lost his memory of his parents who were in a car accident and drove off a cliff. He was alone during all his childhood mostly, but had a friend in the hospital named Fiore, an alien he thought he had dreamed up. Usagi, as a child, met little Mamoru in the hospital when her mother was giving birth to Shingo. She gave him a rose to cheer him up, and he gave it to Fiore as a going away present.

When Mamoru was 17, he met 14 year old Usagi when she tossed her bad test score in his face on accident. At that moment, history changed. Mamoru had been going around unknowingly as Tuxedo Kamen, trying to find the Mysical Silver Crystal, the Mabouroshi no Ginzuishou. He would continuously come to Sailor Moon's aide, and to the aide of the other Senshi as they came along. As Usagi and Mamoru, they were mean to each other, but inside they cared about each other.

When they remembered their past lives, they fell in love again. That's when Zoisite had stabbed him in the back, and then Queen Beryl brainwashed him into working for her. After Sailor Moon defeated Beryl, everyone lost their memories and they had to get to know each other all over again. Instead of Tuxedo Kamen saving Sailor Moon and the Senshi, it was Tsukikage no Knight, who was Mamoru's spirit, but not Mamoru himself. His spirit had such a desire to still protect Sailor Moon that it willingly seperated itself from his body to protect her. After Mamoru regained his memory, Tsukikage no Knight disappeared, and Tuxedo Kamen went back to saving the Senshi.

It was a few weeks later when Chibi-Usa, a little mysterious girl from the future, fell from the sky. She demanded the Mysical Silver Crystal to save her mother back in the 30th centuty. The Black Moon clan, headed by Prince Demando, was also after the crystal and Chibi-Usa for in order to completely take over the 30th Century and Crystal Tokyo. Chibi-Usa turned out to be Mamoru's and Usagi's daughter from the future, where he and his future wife rule the utopian society. They go to the future, and with the help of both the future and present Ginzuishou's, the threat from the future is eliminated.

Another threat appeared shortly after. Someone was stealing the pure hearts of the citizens of Tokyo. Three new Sailor Senshi appeared. Turns out they were looking for two talismans. Mamoru's pure heart was one of the first to be taken, but his heart held no talisman. During these battles, Mamoru, with the unknown help of his Golden Crystal, helped Usagi power up. Usagi Defeated the Death Busters and Mistress 9.

They had peace for a while, and slowly, Mamoru started to become sick. He didn't know why, until he had a dream one night. Elios, Elysion's priest, contacts Mamoru through this dream, telling him that Elysion has been cursed, and it is black and dying. Mamoru, the earth's Crown Prince and heir to the Golden Kingdom, has become poisoned because of this. Elios has also been poisoned and has been turned into a pegasus. Mamoru tries to hide it as much as he can from Usagi, but one night, he falls unconscious, coughing up black blood. Usagi and everyone are told what has happened by Elios, and he explains that the villian Queen Neherenia has been poisoning Elysion. Elysion is the holy land that protects the earth, like the heart of the planet. Mamoru's spirit and body are linked with the planet, Elios, and Elysion, which is why he's becoming sick. Elios urges them to find the Golden crystal and defeat Neherenia from taking over the world. It is soon discovered that the Golden Crystal is within Mamoru. He and Usagi defeat Neherenia, both crystals coming forth, transforming them into the future King and Queen of Crystal Tokyo. It's their coronation.

They don't officially become King and Queen yet though. Mamoru gets the opportunity to study abroad in America. It's his dream. Before he leaves, he proposes to Usagi. She says yes, of course.

On the way to America, Mamoru's plane is attacked. Sailor Galaxia, the galaxy's legendary golden senshi, takes Mamoru's starseed, the starseed of Earth. As he's dying, Mamoru warns Galaxia that the senshi of earth will destroy her. The last word on his lips is the name of his love... Usako.

As Sailor Moon faces Galaxia, the golden senshi taunts her after the rest of the Senshi are dead. She tells Sailor Moon that she has the Starseed of Earth, trying to break Sailor Moon down. Sailor Moon defeats Galaxia, driving Chaos from her body. With Galaxia's defeat, those killed by her are released, and the senshi come back to life. The last one to come back is Mamoru. He, Usagi, and the others have lived a peaceful life since.

Mamoru, since then, has stumbled upon the dimension known as moonlocket. He's seen way too much there, including a son that did not belong to him... but to Usagi and another man. He feels that if Usagi will not be happy with him, then he would let her be happy with someone else. He breaks up with her, embarking on this new life.

He has been in contact with the Shitennou once again, speaking with both Kunzite and Zoisite. Kunzite had been out to eliminate him since Mamoru, back as Endymion, broke the laws and fell in love with the Moon Princess. Zoisite, however, still follows Endymion, and supports what must be done - going to war to take back their kingdom.
